Economic assessment in minimally invasive oncological surgery: a high European volume center experience

Robot-assisted surgery seems to play an increasingly important role in the treatment of certain oncological diseases. Hospitals that want to keep up with technical evolution often choose to purchase them, but in addition to the initial costs of acquiring the robot then they have to deal with all other costs that will result. A verification of the main expense items related to surgery by comparing three methods (ROBOTS, OPEN, VATS) to understand where these differences insist and how they are sized.
