Piotr Gabryel, MD, PhD

Dr. Gabryel is a board certified thoracic surgeon with interest in thoracic oncology, minimally invasive surgery, lung transplantation, and quality of medical care.
Dr. Gabryel did his thoracic surgery residency at Poznan University of Medical Sciences. He has been a staff surgeon at the Department of Thoracic Surgery of Poznan University of Medical Sciences since 2014. He participated in several national and international courses and internships in Europe and China. He is a member of the European Society of Thoracic Surgeons and European Respiratory Society.
Dr. Gabryel is the author of several publications, book chapters and meeting abstracts. He is actively involved in clinical and basic research. He obtained his PhD degree in 2018, based on research in the field of video-assisted thoracic surgery. In 2022 he won the Brompton Prize at the 30th ESTS Meeting in The Hague, The Netherlands. He has been an invited speaker on minimally invasive surgery and thoracic oncology in many thoracic surgery meetings.
