Takahiro Homma, MD, PhD

Research interests: advancing minimally invasive thoracic surgery, particularly Uniportal VATS, as well as focusing on surgical education, energy devices, and medical device development.

Dr. Homma is an Associate Professor of Department of Chest Surgery at St Marianna University School of Medicine, Kawasaki, Japan. He earned his MD and Ph.D from University of Toyama, Toyama, Japan, and completed the Foundation Course for Medical Education program, Medical Education Center, Kyoto University, Kyoto, Japan.

Dr. Homma is a board certified surgeon of the Japan Surgical Society, the Japan Association for Chest Surgery, the Japan Society for Respiratory Endoscopy, the Japan Respiratory Society, and the Japanese Board of Cancer Therapy. He is a board member of the Japanese Uniportal VATS Interest Group and the Japanese Association for Surgical Education.
